Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Crafty Damsel collects, why, and who we share it with. The short version: we collect only what is needed to run the shop and your courses, we send no marketing email, and we use no advertising or analytics tracking.

Data processors & security

We partner with trusted third-party providers to run the site:

• Stripe: Processes all credit card payments securely. We never see or store your full card details.
• Supabase: Securely hosts our user database and authentication systems.
• Resend: Delivers our essential emails, such as purchase receipts and sign-in codes.
• Bunny Stream: Hosts the course videos, so lessons play smoothly for enrolled students.
• Vercel: Hosts the website itself.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, contact us, purchase a course, or ask to be told when a course opens. This may include your name and email address. Payment card details go to Stripe and are never stored by us.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve our services, respond to enquiries, and deliver course access and updates. The only emails we send are essential ones: purchase receipts, account confirmation and password resets, sign-in codes, and a one-off note when a course you asked about opens. We do not send newsletters or marketing email, and our free starter checklist downloads directly without asking for your email address at all.

Cookies and storage

We use essential storage only. Your basket is kept in your own browser so it survives a page refresh, and if you sign in, an essential cookie keeps you logged in. When you get in touch, ask to be told when a course opens, or buy a course, we keep the reference details of that request so your enquiry, notification or purchase can be found again. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or social media trackers, so there is no consent banner to click through. We do not count which Journal articles are read, either: browsing the Journal leaves nothing in your browser and sends us nothing. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before any optional tracking is switched on.

Your data

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Get in touch via the contact page and we will sort it out.
